The Prequel

There are a few stories I want to log even though they are not recent. I just want to have record of them.

(Guess who I love??) Nov.3

It was Trezden's Birthday so I decided to let it be his day, so we were out and about doing all the things he wanted to do. when from the back seat Trezden says something but I did not quite hear him so I made an umm sound or something. Well Trezden being so patient like most kids are just repeated his question with his answer this time..." Mom guess who I love,... I love you!" my heart melted and I felt like the luckiest Mom in the world! I then replied " Trez, guess who I love?" and Trezden responded..."DADDY!"
I laughed and told him I loved him and Spencer too. but, I was left feeling very loved and grateful that my kids know that I love their daddy. I've heard that one of the best things you and your spouse can do for your kids is love each other. I do love my kid's daddy. I love him more than words can explain it may sound cliche but its true and I love my children too. I truly feel like I have been blessed with the greatest family.

(Birthday Prayers)

So Trezden's birthday was The 3rd of this month and he knew it was coming but he just could not stand the wait. My brother Josh had a birthday on September 16th and it seems like from that time on Trezden has been Birthday Mesmerized! he talks about Birthdays all the time and sings Happy Birthday at random moments especially when he sees any candle light or a balloon. There was a week there just before his Birthday that Trezden even started praying for his birthday to come. His prayers were heard Because he is now a wild 3 year old! We had his family Birthday party on his Birthday day. we went bowling. But because we had to wait for Daddy to get off work to go bowling, by the time we were done it was bed time. So the fallowing evening we had his Car cake ( which took my friend Kay and I 4 hours to make) and sang happy Birthday and such. Well the day fallowing that our friends the Beckstroms had returned from being out of town. and wanted to bring his birthday present over. and Would you believe it that the day after that our friend Cathy Jones was in town from Idaho and she too brought him a gift. So as you see his birthday turned out to be a week long event because then on Saturday we had his Ninja turtle party. so if you feel like having a great birthday, maybe you should pray for it and it could even last a whole week!

(Walking the halls) ~July 13th? 2008

It was Sunday and Spencer was not liking R.S. so I (to spare taking the spirit away from everyone in the room) Left and walked the halls. The halls are quiet at this time, because we are the last ward that meets each Sunday. the only other noise is usually other hall wanderers. So there we were wondering the halls.
It's moments like these that leave me as a mother wondering... "why did I take the time to get three wild kids all prepped for church if all I'm doing is wandering the halls!"
This is when I realized that Heavenly Father truly knows all of our thoughts, because as I was wandering the halls, looking at the paintings and thinking my soon to make me inactive thoughts, we came to the picture of Mary, Martha and the Savior. Now up to this point Spencer had shown no real interest in any of the paintings we would both just look and move on. But none of the pictures until this point had Christ in them either. But as we got to this particular painting I just happened to be watching Spencer's face and I could tell he was surveying the two women faces then as he moved on and caught the Saviors face he immediately lit up and leaned forward. He tried to touch the Savior and started babbling. The Spirit was so strong at that moment! I brought tears to my eyes
I know that Spencer knew who the Savior was and was happy to see Him. I then felt very blessed that I had taken the time to come to church to wander the halls!
after church I showed Nate, first we looked at all the ones previous w/out the Savior in them and then as we got to this one, the same reaction. We are so lucky to be blessed with little ones who were just moments ago with our Savior. May I always be thankful for every moment even the hall wandering type.

Self help

Trezden came down the stairs and told me his eye hurt. I looked at it and then just kissed him and said "Sorry." he seemed satisfied. But,later he came down the stairs with a band aid over his eye. I laughed so hard! it's funny what a little band aid will fix.

Smart idea, Trez! Pray and it'll make your birthday last longer! That was a super cute story about who you love!
